Winners of the Social Innovation Award 2025

The Carpathian Foundation and its cross-border partners, coordinating the Carpathian Civil Society Platform, have launched a Civil Innovation Award to recognise and support the best rural community initiatives in the Carpathian Euroregion (Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and Romania).

To this end, a call for applications was launched in March 2025 in the countries concerned, open to registered NGOs and informal communities with community-based initiatives in the region over the last two years.

The Carpathian Social Innovation Award and the accompanying non-reimbursable financial support of €500 was awarded to one organisation in each of the 5 countries:

 

Fundacja CONTEO (Poland)
Rzeszow Mobile Trails: Inclusion in the Logistics Industry
Creating pathways for inclusion and diversity in the logistics sector.

Ženský algoritmus (Slovakia)
Inspiring Girls and Inspiring Jobs
Empowering young girls by connecting them with role models and career opportunities.

Movement to support Transcarpathian military – Uzhhorod (Ukraine)
Seniors Club
Fostering socialization, adaptation, and integration for elderly internally displaced persons (IDPs).

International Children’s Rescue Service (Romania)
Every Child Counts – Community Support for Single Parents and Children with Disabilities
Building inclusive support networks for vulnerable families.

Egyesek Youth Association (Hungary)
Egyesek Youth Community House
A vibrant hub for youth-led activities, learning, and community building.

These projects remind us how local action can spark real change. Thank you to all the participants and congratulations to our winners for their creativity, compassion, and commitment! 

In addition, 8 other organisations from the five countries were awarded the Social Innovation Award, all of which also had excellent projects: Meseút Egyesület, Észak-Keleti, Átjáró Egyesület, Világítani fogok Egyesület, Lamenda Alapítvány, Ťahanovská záhrada, Karpatská nadácia, Spletinia o.z., Haias Enterprise.

 

All the winning teams were invited to the Carpathian Summer Camp international event organized on 29-31 July, 2025 in Eger, where they presented their winning projects. The awards were officially presented at this event. Congratulations to all applicants!
